Lineapelle - A New Point of View in Milan: an "active and smart" exhibition project

Fieramilano Rho will gather once again visitors thanks to the Italian Fashion & Lifestyle sector fairs. The first one to open its doors was the 31st edition of Milano Unica that took place on Tuesday 8 and Wednesday 9 September 2020, as scheduled.

Among the next trade fairs, the one that stands out is “LINEAPELLE - A NEW POINT OF VIEW”, which will be held on Tuesday 22 and Wednesday 23 September 2020 inside Fieramilano Rho’s pavilions, coinciding with other events dedicated to the Made in Italy supply chain - Micam, Mipel, The One and Homi Fashion & Jewels.

This represents a particularly big opportunity for MKS Milano Fashion School students attending the Footwear Design course, which is starting on 10 October, because they will meet there with their teacher Carlotta Mazzolari on 23 September to begin working together on this year’s school program. Trade fairs represent without a doubt an incredibly important moment for designers that start working on their collections: a genuine exploration phase about current trends.

“A New Point of View” presents itself as a smart event because of the measures designed to guarantee that activities are carried out in compliance with the new anti-Covid rules for everybody’s safety, also thanks to Fieramilano’s logistic and organizational support. Exhibiting companies will be placed in unitized stands and operators will move along a regulated path, to prevent any kind of gathering and in full accordance with every protocol. Moreover, in order to allow buyers to explore the exhibition in total safety, a service of customization of arrivals at the site will be at their disposal.

The trade fair will involve 320 exhibitors from 14 countries that will showcase the collections designed for the Fall/Winter 2021/22 season, based on the creative ideas developed by the Lineapelle Fashion Committee. The main theme will be “The Era Of Simpliflying 2 – Slow Is The New Hot,” reviving and modifying the February 2020 edition one: ““The timing of our lives is changing. It is no longer haste, but value that influences choices. A new era is beginning, characterized by a desire for high definition,” stated Lineapelle.

As for the upcoming Milano Fashion Week, “A New Point of View” chooses the “phygital” formula, combining the physical dimension with 365 SHOWROOM digital platform, offering a marketplace where all exhibitors can open a space to upload and promote their collections, as well as real time streaming services for customers in China, Korea, Japan and the USA. In pavilion number 7 visitors will be able to attend several live streaming events dedicated to “the latest technological solutions for customizing materials and products”, involving craftsmen and designers, while pavilions 9 and 11 will host the Trend Selection areas for the Autumn / Winter 2021-22 season.

“Choosing of being in Milan, therefore, becomes a way of sharing consciously the will to start again: together” – this is Lineapelle’s opinion. The event aims to spread a message of positivity and revival to whole the supply chain, representing a vigorous reply to the situation of socioeconomic instability that is affecting the Fashion & Luxury Industry, as Lineapelle explained: “Together with the accompanying trade fairs, the event is an essential opportunity to contribute to the relaunch of strategic sectors of the Made in Italy supply chain and manufacturing industry which, in recent months, have suffered heavy setbacks due to the pandemic”.
